it depends on the crime and the state many states have thrown out the statute of limitations on almost all crimes but if their is a statute of limitation on your crime it is ten years in most places

Depends on the state, the grade of the charge (felony, misdemeanor) and a variety of factors. In NYS, most felonies have a 7 year SOL (statute of limitations). Misdemeanors are usually about 1-3 years. There is a difference between SOL and Speedy Trial Issues. Some states don't start the clock on either, until formal arraignment. Others start it when you are charged, or arrested. Best advice, speak with an attorney in the jurisdiction your charges are pending.

Laws on evidence vary..but in most cases if the evidence was submitted improperly or obtained illegally it will be throw out...if evidence is incorrect as in some cases where DNA is used...also the evidence absolves you from guilt. Also see, (statue of limitations)...

will depend on exactly what charge, but there will be a statue of limitation. about 3 to 5 on most drug charges for GA.

* this is assuming you have not been charged with the crime, once charged it frezzes the statue of limitation.

Depends on the crime. If you murdered someone there is no statute of limitations. There may be others but that is the one that I know of for sure.

Depends on the crime and statute of limitation.....most crimes have time limits.....the most serious.....such as murder and pedofilia doesn't....but thats not to say evidence that was used to convict you from another crime can be brought up to show you are a career criminal.
