It would be a far better choice as object of worship than a nonexistent god. I'd say go for it.
Yes, I'm utterly serious. Your religious choice would be a far better source of meaning for your life than the choices of billions of other people.
I've been praying to pencils for quite a while, and they have answered every single one of my prayers. Sometimes the answer was "no" or "wait", but not a one of my prayers went unanswered. I once prayed for a job, and got a wonderful fulltime job that I've been doing for 25 years.

GOD is a Supreme soul, a Point of Divine light. Your pencil can make a POINT and can remind you of that Supreme soul,. So anything which help you to remember HIM ,can be worshiped.

yes, because you can write a bible to go with it and pretend that it talks to you and protects you against evil. why not. you don't really have to prove it does all of those things. you can even start a cult that worships pencils and get rich quick.

if you want a biblical answer it is this: No man can see God because God is a Spirit. Them who worship God must worship in Spirit and in Truth.
