I am going to a salon that is certified in relaxing hair in one of the systems in the Japanese way. What I want to know, is, after I go to the salon and relax my hair, and afterwards take good care of my hair, so it'll be okay, will my hair be damaged? I'm having second thoughts, because some people said they loved it, and some people said they hate it!

But, if I take good care of my hair ... will my hair be okay?
Thanks!!!!!!

I've seen great results... however, please know that your roots will need maintenance when your hair begins to grow out... good luck

Hi there, i've also seen great results. I really wanted to get this done on my own hair but it was so expensive and I couldn't afford to get it done. =( I have naturally curly hair, so I opted for the second best option, the permanent relaxer which worked like a charm. Now my hair is just wavy but much more manegable and I like it much better, plus, I didn't have to spend almost $1000 to get it done. =) Some advice though on the Japanese straightening, I would call around to different salons, don't just stop in at one, and take their opinion on it. See if you can go in on a Saturday and talk to some of their clients. Saturdays are usually good days to go in and see it getting done. Or maybe you can even ask a stylist to watch a session to see how they do it and be able to talk with their client. I would definately do that for a peace of mind. If they are a good stylist, they would let you do it. Good luck, and don't settle for the first salon that you go to.

when I used to try this, i could bypass to the salon. i've got accomplished it beforehand, yet I in simple terms felt safer having it accomplished professionally. i've got no longer had one in probable ten years regardless of the shown fact that.

from what i know from my mother who is a hairstylist, straightening your hair wont damage it unless you do it too often, but if you take good care of your hair, it will be alright, maybe you can go for treatment, or use certain shampoo, etc
