should my airbag deploy if hit from the rear?

i was rear ended and my airbags did not deploy?

No, the sensors are in the front bumper for the air bag. Only on front hits.

No, your airbag should not deploy. If your airbag had deployed, you would have had a defective airbag to start with and you would have been very lucky that your airbag did not just deploy what you were driving down the road.
