I am interested in both. However, I have started my studies in Pediatrics but I am a bit iffy about it and at this stage I can switch if I want to. I have a beautiful daughter and I am engaged to a wonderful man so I really dont wanna do something that is gonna take up too much of my time. They are both well paying jobs and I like them but I want to do the one that will allow me to have some time for my family. Any suggestions?

Pediatricians are married to their jobs. A pharmacist works a shift and rarely takes call.

Good luck at time management with either one. Both in my opinion sound like ten hour days...Pediatrics lets you be around and converse with parents plus play and examine the kids...Pharmacy would be limiting to filling prescriptions and some contact with people. Pediatrician is my vote because of the short supply, a community service and the respect parents give these doctors who do much more than a md. We have a pediatrician in the area who totally loves kids and has at least three generations of treating them. It takes a special person to even think about being a pediatrician. You may have a calling.

If only you have little luck (you have already as you have a beautiful daughter adn wonderful man) you can harvest money as a Pediatrician. the scope for Pharmacist is very less and all will be fixed.

Go for - pediatrician

Be a pharmacist for Target. Don't be a pharmacist at CVS.

If you want extra time for your family, do not go with the pediatrician- jobs like that become your life.

pharmacist allows you to work part time. it only takes 6 years rather than 8 or so for MD. US has a pharmacist shortage and there are many different areas you could work-
hospital, retail, homecare, long term care, nucelar medicine, temp work, industry, etc.
the pay is quite good and you can get a flexible job.
