nope diets don't work, ANY of THEM, because the body will adapt to the change in nutrients with in 24 hours, most people actually put on weight with diets because the body will store excess fat cell to compesate for the minamal callories being put in the body with the diet change. the best way to loose weight is to do what your doc says. eat a balanced diet and work out

With any diet...it is always calories in vs calories out (exercise).
The cabbage soup diet does work for a while, but so does all the other diets that are around. Most people end up gaining the weight back plus some after a while because they only changed their eating habits during their diet and went back to eating "normal" afterwards. You will have to set your mind to making a life change about eating if you are going to lose the weight and keep it off. I have had better luck eating less calories and fat and exercising.

Look, cabbage is just cabbage. Cabbage soup diet, is just cabbage. It will add fiber to your diet and make your bowels move like crazy and give you alot of gas. But it's not "BAD" for you. A diet that works is one in moderation of all food groups with added exercise of some kind. In otherwords, a life-style change....not anything off the hook or weird. Just portion control, good hydration, no junk/sodas, and a good 30 minute walk every day will do wonders for you. Look up the Exchange diet, or Sugar Busters. These use common sense and really will help you lose at a moderate rate that will stay off. And eat all of the cabbage you want! godloveya.

when you eat nothing but cabbage you are extremely protein deficient. Your initial weight loss will probably be water. After that your body will start breaking down its own muscle to fuel the protein requirements your body needs.

The best way to lose fat if you are not willing to workout and change your diet, is to drink 4-5 protein shakes a day and make sure you get your added protein requirements. If you are going to do extreme dieting such as this, at LEAST get the added protein your body needs.

Take a multi vitamin and essential fatty acids. Any multi vitamin has to be taken with some fat content for it to absorb.

Exercise! Believe me, it's the only way to have a fit body. Along with regular exercise, you may also control your food intake with Weight Loss/Hoodia sample. My aunt tried that once...and from her experience, I guess it depends on how much time you are willing to give up by spending it in the bathroom.
