For those that do not know, a Bridezilla is a bride to be who focuses so much on the event that she becomes difficult and obnoxious. I watch the show on WE, and though it does not apply to me (I had a small wedding and I'm not into the fuss of a wedding), I find it funny. If you were not one, do you know a Bridezilla? What happened?

ha ha, well I hope I am not a bridezilla but I do know a girl who was. She just got married last month and she was crazy. First of all, she maid a list of rules for her wedding party, so they had to follow all of these guidelines for her wedding, like they can't drink at the wedding until a certain time etc. Then she made all of her wedding party pay for their own dresses and shoes, and she maid them pay for the LIMO,, yupp the limo. Also the wedding was at 12:00 and the dinner wasn't until 6:00 and didn't let the wedding party have any type of snacks before the wedding. She was crazy and I guess she yelled at her wedding party all the time, and she kicked out her husbands father and sister because his sister brought a date to the wedding which i guess she wasn't allowe to or something, so she made all his family leave. SHE was crazy, poor groom.

I did get very sick the day before and day of my wedding! But I wasn't a bridezilla, cause I wasn't mean & obnoxious. I was just nervous how thing would come out since I live in Houston, and had to plan my wedding in Mexico. But it came out very nice & pretty, everyone had a blast and except for me being sick.

The dry cleaner's ruined my wedding dress 5 days before the wedding! (yes I was crying!) That same week I was expecting my first international guests. Between shopping for another wedding dress and attending my guests I amazingly didn't turn into a bridezilla...I got it together with the help of friends and family.

I asked that same question two weeks ago, here is what I told the people when I asked and the best answer:

One of my best friends was bridezilla...and now that the stress is over and we think back to those months of preparation we get a laugh out of all the weird things she did and made us (bridesmaids) do.
For example: She choose flowers to which the flower girls were allergic and refused to change them, the girls developed rashes, and she didn't care, She demanded we were all present (we being the bridesmaids) at her dress fitting when all of us were working, looking after sick parents and little kids (we had to ask for the day off of work), she demanded that none of our dresses show cleavage because hers didn't show it, she demanded none of our hair dos were similar to her's (all the while we are thinking, she is the bride, it is her show, none of us would have a dress remotely close to hers or a hairdo) and that's just the half of it.

The best answer was:
After these stories I don't feel as bad as about my bridezilla friend even though she totally had me stressed. I almost missed the wedding because I was sick for 2 days before with all of the worry. She had me running around doing everything, picking up jewelry, meeting with the attendants, and doing the shopping for her parents gifts. I left one day during wedding week for me to be able to go get my own shoes and dress to wear. I wasn't a bridesmaid, I was her "wedding planner" as she called it, so therefore I had to go get my own dress and shoes. The day I went to get my things she made me drop everything and finish the rest of her last minute stuff, I didn't get a dress and just decided to wear a different one. I literally found shoes 2 minutes before the store closed because I had so many things on my list she needed. I had started at like 4 that afternoon, and had to push my own stuff off until 8:45 that night. Her mother was just as bad calling me every day to make sure that I had done this and that, and to make sure that everything was meeting their expectations. I laugh now, but it was a rough 6 months with her.

I have my ups and downs, I can be bridezilla if I need to be, but I try to contain it! I think a lot of people mistake knowing what you want for being bridezilla,....thats not the case. Some things I'm very insistant on, but the way I see it, I'm payin good money for it, do it my way! thats not bridezilla, thats expecting to get what you want when you paid for it! I try not to expect everyone to drop everything to cater to me the bride, but I can't say i'm innocent for sure!

I was definitely a Bridezilla. I couldn't help it... especially since I did most of the planning myself (mom passed away 3 years ago and didn't have much help from anyone else).
I drove my now husband nuts. But it was well worth everything.. my wedding turned out Beautiful!

No, I was definitely not a bridezilla. The wedding was fun to plan, but we didn't go overboard, and it was not ME getting married, it was US.

I just did several days worth of work in the decorating area for a relative's wedding. Do you know what I got in the mail as a thank you? The couple printed a generic thank you message on regular copier paper in Times Roman, no border, no clip art, their names typed beneath, and cut it out sloppily with scissors and put it inside an unsigned notecard. This is what they sent to everyone.

I thought it was horrible.

I wasn't like that at all. I really didn't care. It was another day for me with a big party at the end. I was looking beyond that day to be honest.
