I had a familiar tummy gurgling while waiting for the food to arrive in a posh restaurant, the outcome was brown liquid that I could not hold in, the worst thing of all was I was wearing a white dress, needless to say it was very noticeable.
It couldn't have put him off too much though we've been married nearly 3 yrs

Oh wow, this was back in '88. I took a first date to a Mexican place and I had their 'Fire Salsa'. I didn't think it would really be hot. You know that stuff they serve at Mexican restaurants, they always say its hot, but it isn't. Anyway, I took a big old scoop of this stuff...and about a minute later a was bent over in my chair with tears in my eyes. It was that hot...and NOT a good way to start a first date.

This guy kept asking me out and I kept trying to put him off. Well, I finally agreed so he said Friday for movie and dinner. (this has been 15 yrs ago). I said fine. (We were in high school at the time). Well, Friday comes and over the PA system in school they start announcing all these names so I turn to my friend and ask what that is all about. She laughs and says you mean you didn't realize that it's Valentines Day?? Well, I hadn't realized. Then my name gets called and I knew. I liked this guy as a friend and absolutely nothing more, he was nice but kinda goofy you know. Well, it turned out I got roses 6 maybe. Then I get home and tell my mother what happened and she LAUGHED. He shows up at the door with MORE flowers and stuffed animals and candy. I was livid. We get to the theater and he locks his keys in the car and he has to call his parents to come unlock the doors. Luckily we ate out without incident though. He took me home and pulled in the driveway and I knew there would be nothing going on between us so I tell him I had a nice time and thanked him for everything. Well, he turned from this mannerly boy into an octopus in 10 seconds flat. I fell out of the car onto the driveway trying to keep his hands off me. He got out and was wanting to help me up but I was like NO. He kept grabbing my arm and trying to pull me to him and kept trying to get a kiss. I finally said hey listen I don't think it's going to work for us. I think we are better off friends. He got kinda mad at first but then he apologized on Monday. We were in band together and spent a lot of time together and remained friends to this day.

I went on a date to homecoming in 11th grade with this kid who rode the bus with me. I thought "cool"... no big deal, right? Well, he got to the house and picked me up. I had never stood next to him so I had no idea he was shorter than me. I am 5'10" tall, and I was wearing heels too. He is maybe 5'6" tall, if he's lucky. He was very uncomfortable all night, to say the least.

That is minor compaired to other first dates other people have had. :)

Nothing bad ever happened on my first date with a guy, it was the part where his parents had to drive us and that was the worst part of the date.
