In a long relationship you get both as it goes through stages. First you get the lust without love - then the love and lust - later it is often love without lust - its a natural progression through life. There are no betters with any of them - its what suits at the time :-)

Love without lust. I've been in both situations and married the one I loved not the one I lusted. I'm just friends with the lusted one. (not with benefits). The one I love we have a lot in common and have a good life. The one I lusted with it was hard to go places and be normal cause all we wanted was sex.

If both people feel the same way then I'm guessing lust without love is fine for a while. Love without lust would lead to heartbreak though- there's no doubt about that. Either situation is not ideal and I'd be sceptical about their success. However, life isn't ideal either, so trying to find a match-up with someone else who thinks you're the sexiest thing on earth but has no interest in dating you, isn't necessarily a bad thing...

definately love without lust - to have a true and deep love is the best feeling in the world - much better than lust and it makes you feel fulfilled all of the time not just a temporary fix.

Definatly lust without love - that way neither of the ppl get hurt! Also with love without lust you'd get too attached and just be plain unhappy!

But they are both very different and it all depends how you feel and what you want.
Lust without love is very fun, exciting, but remember it will go away one day. it never lasts forever.
Love without lust, is a bit boring, but at the end of the day you have someone to be open with and share your thoughts and dreams with. someone you can rely on, trust and confide in.
They are both lovely feelings, which is why i don't believe in LOVE at first sight, i say it's LUST at first sight. So if you fall in love with someone you get both!!!
