Thats what disgusts me most about Bush. Its all very well and good to talk about the glory of our mission etc etc. What about the nuts and bolts of waging a war? About a young lad, 18, just growing up in middle town america whose life is destroyed when hes ripped apart by a mine, just cause he fought for his country in a war he may or many have believed in.

Does Bush think about that when he makes these grandious and sweeping decisions. Its all very well for him to sit in his ivory tower, but real people are paying real consequences for his actions and I truly believe he doesnt comprehend that!

Better question. What are you doing to help our troops? They are fighting for you, you know.

We have a volunteer military. They all know the dangers of war. What are we supposed to do...just sit here and wait to be killed by these maniacs? Take a peek outside of that fluffy little room you live in and get real. Bush knows what's going on and he does what he has to do. He did go visit the troops on Thanksgiving one year and he was ridiculed for that...what the hell do you people want from him?

Why are you a SLUT? why don't you ask these soldier what they think about their duties .what they sign for, while join the force. they know these are the payment or consequence of being a soldier.
Bush is not responsible. if you are a police on duty and you are be short dead by a drug dealer who is responsible.

BE A MAN AND WAKE UP.These soldier are happy doing their job.they are not weak like you.their mind are been prepared for these .they are trained to kill and being killed

Yes, he does. And there's photographic proof of him visiting said veterans, and presenting them with medals. Check out:

Oh, and by the way, the troops are generally ecstatic to see and meet the President.

BTW -- the President knows far more than you about how to wage a war, as is painfully obvious from reading your screed..

PRESIDENT Bush has made numerous visits to Bethesda Naval Medical Center to visit with the wounded of Afghanistan & Iraq. He prefers to make the visits low-key rather than turning them into press-events.

I can't come up with specific dates... but my understanding is that he makes monthly visits.

Stop your INGNORANT whining...

Of course he visits the soldiers and does it quite regularly. Ivory tower? jeez, you sound just like a liberal. You have this goofy idea of what you think of things and it has no relation to anything realistic.

it has been noted and in the news that he has visited many hospitals and wounded men and women.... please also know that this war is not the only war where we have had wounded soldiers ....we have had them in all of our wars.... he knows this is a problem and he is concerned, do you want him to stop the war and then these evil countries will come in to our country and kill us and the people they do not kill will be beaten, robbed raped and made slaves of. take our children and do what they wish to...they want to harm us and our way of life,,,,do you not see or understand that America has to fight this and it is for our survival that we are at war......?????????

Of course not. And neither has Blair. Nor has either of them taken the trouble to stand in line when the coffins come in. If they were brought closer to the consequences of their actions they might, just might, be forced to think about their mistakes. So they steer clear and borrow other people's courage.
