I am human, a product of Evolution. Bowing down to ask for absolution is weak. If you know what is wrong, then why do you do them in the first place. Maybe if you didn't do them you wouldn't need to seek absolution?

Obviously I have sinned in my life,if you wish to use that particular word. And I am regretful of many things I've done in my life,to differing degrees depending on the act. But I don't believe in God,I certainly am not naive enough to believe in a God who actually cares about us,and so why or how would I ask him for absolution. He does absolutely nothing to stop the crimes of mankind, this absentee landlord we refer to as God,so why does anyone imagine he wants their apologies. If God exists and if he is fair I think we will all have to answer for our crimes,to whatever degree we are due, which would mean that the vast majority don't come close to being worthy of hell as some describe it,and for some that's the only punishment that fits. And I don't believe a fair God would let Christians walk away from some of their various crimes due to an apology so I don't accept their concept of confession/redemption. It would only be further proof of an unfair God if that were so.

Two reasons.
Bowing is an acknowledgement of fault.
Secondly it is a sign of submission to a greater power. In this case God, in some other cases of bowing and kneeling, to ones King/Queen/leader.

Well I am sure you will get many answers. However the Bible says Jesus died on the cross for your sins (btw it's the only religion that a GOD has come to earth and died for you) So if you confess your sins and except Jesus as your personal Savior you now have your answer

I don't bow down to anyone. But I confess to God alone, through the ministry of His priest, who was empowered to absolve my sins in God's holy name when Jesus Christ breathed upon His first priests, and told them "whose sins you forgive, they are forgiven them; whose sins you hold retained, they are retained".
