You need to use a Stain Blocker like "KILZ" found at any hardware store

If the spot is dry & the leak fixed, I know of a lot of people who swear by a product called Kilz. It is a paint that the seals the spot so the marks won't bleed back through. You can get it at your local Wal-mart or hardware store. If the spot isn't dry yet, get some fans blowing on it. It needs to be dry no matter what product you use to cover it up.

You need to put a sealer on the watermarks before you paint it. Something like Kiltz or Bin should do the trick. It will keep the stain from showing through the emulsion.

I hope you have fixed the leak?

First make sure there is no longer a leak. Then go to a paint store explain about the stain and bujy a sealer, put the sealer on and then paint over it. Water stain will then not come thru.

Did you try Kilz Stain Cover? If that didn't work, I would try scrape off the bad sheetrock and float on a skim coat. You might have to cut out that piece and just put in a new sheetrock "patch". That might be your best bet. Godloveya.

it will keep coming through too!
the bathroom floor, im guessing is tiled.
The floor has not been sealed properly under the tiles. Bad news is the tiles need to come up, and get dampflex onto the floor before putting new tiles down. Then paint the roof.

Use an oil based primer/sealer. Killz is a good brand, very well known and readily available. Allow it time to dry and cure prior to exposing it to moisture. Cover with standard bathroom paint.

You can buy special sealant paint but if the leak is not resolved. Then what is the point of sealing the leak marks?

As long as the leak has been stopped; use Kills or Bin primer. They are an alcohol based paint that won't bleed.
