In any of your readings Have you come across something called
"The five steps to Spiritual enlightenment for reaching Jesus"-
A friend of mine sent me an email about this saying a preacher said it was in the bible: I was like never in my life have I heard that and I am an ex-Catholic who studied her bible and memorized it... Never have I seen that in the bible at all.
Any way Muslims, What is the punishment we get from Allah if we try to say something is in the Quran but is not? LOL (Please assume that I am an ignorant muslim for a minute)?

It is a serious, serious crime to say of Allah that which He said not said.

Quran have not described punishment for one who go astray from Islam
he will get punishment from ALLAH we should not care about those who left there religion for money or a girl because they are not Muslim's
a Muslim by name doesn,t mean to be a true Muslim there are black sheep,s in every community
i know christian missionary,s playing dirty games to convert poor people into Christianity
but our part is to do Dawah invitation of Islam with beauty and respect and with truthfulness not using tactics like them

Assuming that a person is creating lies about Allah, his prophets (pbut), the Qur'an and/or Islam:
“Say: ‘Verily, those who invent a lie against Allah will never be successful’” [Yunus 10:69]
“And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who lied against Allah (i.e. attributed to Him sons, partners) their faces will be black" [al-Zumar 39:60]
