Only God knows the answer to that question.

Matthew chapter 24 has some great information about this topic here http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=47&chapter=24&version=31

Edit: There have been people predicting that the rapture will come in 1988 and all sorts of other times; but only God knows the time. The reason God -doesn't- let us know the real time and date is because if we did now, we would become apathetic and not work as hard as we could; His work would not seem as urgent. Instead, if we don't know the time, it makes it seem all the more important to get as many people as we can to repent of their sins and accept Christ's free gift.

I'm not sure if Christ's coming will be in our lifetime. It would be nice; I wouldn't have to die and all that jazz. More recently, especially in the 20th century, there have been like a bajillion wars with MILLIONS of people killed, just in the 20th century alone. also, there have been very destructive natural disasters to plague the world (earthquakes, hurricanes, wildfires, etc.) So the signs of the end of the age are abundant.

In Hebrews 10:25 it says, "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Even if it may seem that the Rapture is coming soon, we shouldn't become apathetic about things and say "oh---Jesus is coming so why should I bother?" but instead should work as hard as we can to rescue people from the result of their human sins. We should, as Hebrews says, have fellowship with fellow believers (hence -fellow-ship) and encourage each other, because encouragement is what strengthens each other in the faith.

Yes, I do. I think the end times are soon. I know that many fanactics have been saying for that years. But if you study the bible, alot of prophecies are coming to happen. It is scary. Also, how much more evil can the world get. I truly think we are in the last days and the Second Coming of Jesus is soon. I hope I don't sound like a crazed fanatic. But that is my opinion.

Your question has been asked for the last 2000 years. What makes you/us so special? We don't live in extroardinary times. If Jesus was to return why didn't he return during WW2 when fear despair and death bathed the world. 62,000,000 people died during WW2 directly or indirectly. Personally I believe Jesus never left, he is still here. 'The Kingdom of God will not come by expectation, the Kingdom of God is here and Men do not see it'.
"I am the light that shines over all things. I am everywhere. From me all came forth, and to me all return.
Split a piece of wood, and I am there. Lift a stone, and you will find me there".
Gospel according to Thomas

The time of Jesus' second coming is known only at the highest universe levels. My best guess is about 1000 years. This does not preclude other sons coming.

Considering how much the situation has degraded in the years in my memory(I'm 18), its not impossible. Plus all the nukes seem to point to the end.

But I suppose thats what many people thought during World War II.

According to Islam, a *few* of the signs of the Last Day are:

I am far more concerned about the hand of man and the damage we can do, than the unlikely appearance of some supernatural being. Or perhaps you didn't want a sceptic to answer.
Having said that I accept that you could be right.

I believe in the next 15 to 25 years we will see it all come to pass but who knows. Only God knows the day and time.

I believe so. Jesus gave us signs to look for. There are many things going on that seem to point to the end.

Jesus gave us signs to look for, signs which are coming to past everyday. There is nothing prophetically that is stopping Christ from returning today.
