I can see that we could ask it in Jesus' name but then we can ask anything in Jesus' name it doesn't mean we get it!

That's the trick...and it's not easy. God gave us an intellect for a purpose and expects us to use it. By study, asking questions, logic, prayer, soul searching, and other methods, we come to have faith in the True "Higher Power"...a.k.a. "God."

Most of us miss the mark to some degree and none of us get it perfect. Millions of men throughout history have actually committed sins in the name of what they thought was the "Higher Power."

There are many, many higher powers that one can "open yourself" to and have blind faith in...some of which are Satan, money, greed, sex, etc.

How do we know which Higher Power is the True one? Work hard to attain a well-formed conscience and it becomes more obvious day by day.

Depends a little bit who the higher power is.

The best bet is not to do it at all - then you avoid all the possibilities of not remaining an independent, thinking human being.

God is not the devil. If God takes "possession" of you - you have the Holy Spirit - nothing demonic there. Then if the Holy Spirit indwells you - you can never be demonically possessed - because the Holy Spirit is already there. Blessings.

This is true. This is why we ask Jesus to come in, the ultimate power.

'means' is a human construct, i do not evaluate myself the utmost means in maximum contexts, I certainly can't provide anybody in the international orders in spite of the actual incontrovertible truth that I personal myself and that i'm the authority on myself, for now, as I stay in a loose united states. i do not characteristic something to technological expertise, technological expertise in basic terms explains the workings of the universe and how I arose in the universe. meaning and purpose are my personal to locate, no longer the realm of technological expertise, i detect meaning in my reports and purpose in my wanted objectives.

You don't... unless you have complete FAITH in God... and then nothing bad can hurt you, but bad influences will never cease to try... testing out that faith... for as long as you live in a mortal body. It's really down to your inner strength, no one else can do it for you, it's between you and your creator.

god is good
only god is perect ,god is the highest power and if we fall into error we just need to ask god to help and he comes every time
the big trick/big truth really is not to fear evil
yeah though i walk through the vallies of fear i shall fear no evil because i know god is beside thee and me allways.

I think that God gave us a mind to question...even about Him. I am very careful about what I allow into my mind in spiritual matters.
