I was just reading an article about how good peanut butter is for you. It has good protein and the whole wheat bread has good fiber and the jelly goes along for the ride and for lubrication! A great lunch in my book!

It can be if you use low-fat peanut butter, and sugar free jelly. Peanut butter is actually a good source of protien. Jelly just has alot of sugar in it, so if you're watching your sugar intake you may want to look for one that has low sugar or is sugar free. Putting it on a 7 grain bread puts the fiber back into your diet. The traditional PB&J with all its fat, sugar on white bread...a tasty snack but not great for counting calories...but there are ways to make it healthier for you. If you aren't concerned with wieght, its actually a great mini-meal.

We use Smucker's natural peanut butter and don't overdo it on the Smucker's strawberry preserves. It is a great sandwich. Sometimes, we toast the whole wheat bread, too. Nice for breakfast!!

PB is good protein, just use moderately. Jelly however is loaded with sugar, so try a brand without added sugar. Otherwise, great comfort food. I'd add tomato soup; perfect comforting lunch

I would say yes. Have you tried peanut butter and sliced bananas? It is good too. PB and raisins is another combination that I like. PB and coconut. You can put anything with PB.
