It's not stupid, it's very smart.
You're thinking outside the box, which is a very good thing.
Religion is something that takes a lot of thought, sadly enough most people do not really do this. Think about what you believe, what others believe, and what makes them different. What makes them the same? Why might your questioning be right, or wrong?
Then you come to your own conclusion, and you'll be much happier in finding the answer to what you believe in yourself, instead of having an outside source tell you :)

It is possible that one God ended up having different people write differing stories about Him. Possible but I don't think it probable. There is too much dissention among the ranks for that to be the case. Although many different religions share some of the same trains of thought as to how one goes about living a good life. Perhaps the One true God sees and hears all and accepts it because the way of living is on par at least with his teachings. And if one has not been exposed to the teachings of the real god but are living a good life, you cannot be judged by what you do not know but how you live.

What you are referring to has a name religious pluralism.
We are all aware that many features of all religions are similar. All faiths teach the supremacy of God; All hold that men should not kill or steal. They may have one or more gods, but the description of the nature of a god as eternal, more powerful than men, capable of miracles and the like, is common to most religions. Most all religions hold to some form of afterlife. But there are striking differences also.
They disagree, for example on the nature of God, or of ultimate reality. Some religions believe in one god; others believe in many Gods; still others believe God is everything and everything is God; some even believe there is no God. In Judaism and Islam, God is personal (singular); in Christianity, God is personal and more (a tri-unity); while in Hinduism and Buddhism, God is less than personal. Some of the world's religious traditions view God as completely outside of and beyond the world, as contrasted with the notion that God is manifested in the world, and still others as both. Clearly the world's religions disagree on who or what God is, not to mention on other doctrines.
But if you pay close attention to any form of bible or religious book, who wrote them? Man did. So draw your own conclusions.

No you aren't stupid. There are similarities, but Christianity speaks of Jesus. This is different because this is the only religion where God actually becomes a human and lives with His people as a human. He then dies for us and raises from the dead. This is a major difference.

they may be all worshiping the same God and calling him by different names. God has many names such as Yahweh or Jehovah, the Hebrew Bible,Elohim or .El-Shaddai, and Adonai. Another name used is 'King of Kings' or 'Lord of Lords' and Lord of the Hosts. This is the true God, Father in heaven. The way to God is through His son, Jesus.

I think it would be possible, but personally, I don't feel that way. I am a hard polytheist and for me, stating that all gods are one god would be the same as saying that all of my female ancestors are one female ancestor. No, they are each separate individuals that share the same blood line. Perhaps deities all share the same spiritual "bloodline". It just doesn't seem right that as large as our universe is, there would be only one deity.
Still, I will admit that I don't know for sure, and it is one possibility.

No. Allah is not God - he is the devil in disguise. You cannot know Allah - he is unknowable. Not Jehovah God, the Great I AM. He is knowable. We can have a relationship with Him. There are no other gods like God the Father and His son, Jesus Christ. They are the true living God. Others are from the devil or do not really exist, such as idols. I pray your find the real God - Jesus Christ before its too late. Blessings.

There is one God. Jesus showed us God through his earthly ministry. Jesus is the 2nd personification of the trinity of God. Jesus was with the Father from the beginning and has returned to the Father after his ascension. All other gods are demons and attempt to draw people away from the one true Living God.

think you have a valid point as personally feel the only real differences between any religious belief system and another are the Names by which the people refer to GOD and the differences in their Religious Ritual and Ceremonies in which they worship, adore, honor, praise, beseech, etc. their version of GOD.

I do wish that all ways lead to heaven.. so everyone get a good chance and we christian do not have to change ppls belief.
1 thing i learnt, many of these Gods are teachers, they lead by example and their teaching is good. There is only 1 savior that claim that those who believe in Him will go to heaven.
And also, most of these teachers, their remaining are around, only Jesus, His tomb is empty. Hence I believe in Him.
