This is what the bible says:

43: And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
-Luke, chapter 1

The bible says there is only one Lord, and that is the Lord our God.

This is not saying that Mary was mother to the trinity. What it is saying is that Jesus is God and that Mary became His mother when He was conceived in her womb.

Everything Jesus did, God did. Because Jesus was and is God. God was born of a virgin. God had a mother. God soiled His diapers and learned to walk and talk. God ate and drank and laughed and cried and stubbed His toes and got indigestion. God became a man like us in ALL things but sin. God died upon a cross for our sins. This is the central truth of Christianity. The death of a mere man could not have won salvation for us. Because the relationship broken by the sin of Adam and Eve was the relationship between God and man, man was powerless to repair the rift. The Mediator had to be man, because man had done the damage. The Mediator had to be God because it was God Whose law was broken, and man was powerless to make amends for an offense against the divine.

Blessings. I read in the Bible about Jesus is lord, so if he is Lord, then Mary is mother of God the son. and not of God the father, nor of God the holy ghost. You know, one of the biggest problems many people have experienced is that the Bible was not written in English, Christ and the Apostles probably did not speak Greek or Latin when they spoke to one another, and (hold on to your hat, here...) private interpretation is specifically condemned! (2Peter1:20). There are PROFOUND limitations you must face if you lack the Magisterial that is guided by the Holy Spirit to keep it from error so that the Gates of Hell do not prevail (Matt 16:18). This is one of the reason people has taking a lot of things out of content because they do not understand the Bible. The Bible is the word of God and is extremely important. But without an authority who understands Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic the way they were spoken and used in the time of Jesus here on earth, has a vast knowledge of history, geography, etc. and really knows what they are doing, anyone can pick up the Bible, pick out a verse and decide what it means. to suit they case, but it does not work like that. Even John stated the following: Quote: But there are also many other things which Jesus did which, if they were written every one, the world itself I think, would not be able to contain the books that should be written. [John 21:25, ) Peace out.

I'm sorry the bible says there are many Lords.

Even "Baal" when translated into English is Lord

I'm sorry again, the bible doesn't say Jesus is God, Rev 3:12, 14

Mary was mother to the Lord Jesus Christ.

When you see LORD in all caps, it is a mistranslation for Jehovah.

Jehovah's name appears in the bible more times than the words Lord, God, and Jesus combined.

TeeM, You are so right ! The KJ Bible uses the words "God was manifest in the flesh" yet, the KJV distributed by Louisiana Baptist Convention corrected the word God to "he" who was manifest...The context clearly shows it was JESUS who was in the flesh. This KJV admits there is 'better manuscript evidence/ a decidedly superior rendering/ signiicant) Can I email you? May I? ...I wonder:
Can't trinitarians think for themselves?
Who can deny that Jesus was the one justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world and RECEIVED UP INTO GLORY...Think, people! WHO RECEIVED HIM? The SAME ONE WHO SENT HIM (His Father and His God) < Yes > See John 20:17 for Jesus' own words.... Have they not read Jesus is the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON of GOD. Be-gotten means that Jesus had a beginning- Proverbs 8:22-30; Colossians1:15,16
The Creator,Jehovah had no beginning. He and His Son loved one another as Father and Son... And Holy spirit is God's 'power' which He uses to create and accomplish His will.
Gen 1:2 (the spirit of God moved... )
Holy spirit also enlightens and motivates His people...I am so grateful

PS In fact, there are 180 corrections in the New Testament alone ! Wish all serious students of the Bible could see this KJV. On the other hand, the newest KJV has removed God's personal name altogether. At least it was there 4x in the old KJ. I'm happy that other translations, besides NWT have restored it. :)

You make it sound like Mary created God... I think it's the other way around. As for Mary being the Mother of Jesus, it's true she was. At least she was the mother of His flesh... His Divine Spirit is self existent. He is the I AM God that spoke to Moses from the burning bush...Jim

Mary was the mother of Jesus, and Jesus is God

Most Christians who have read the bible are aware that Mary was the chosen vessel of God to bear His son Jesus. Where would you get that Mary is the mother of the trinity?

First of all, you have the GODHEAD mix up. Mary was NOT the mother of God, but the mother of Jesus, The Bible says that God ha no mother nor father, nor beginning nor ending. I know many believes that there is 3 persons in the Godhead, I use to think the samething, Lets first see what is going on. GOD is a SPIRIT, not a person The Holy Ghost is a SPIRIT & not a PERSON, Now Jesus was a person, I am aware of many trinity teachings that says there is 3 diferent people or person in the God head, we will see, Trinity people also says that they are co-equal, Wrong There is Nothing co-equal with God. The teaching that says Mary is the mother of God came from the catholic teachings, There is NO 3 pesons in the Godhead, But 3 offices, God is the Father of ALL things & God is a Spirit, The Holy Ghost is also a spirit, but what kind of Spirit, The SAME SPIRIT of God, so therefore God & the Holy ghost is the self same spirit but working in a different office work, Now The Holy Ghost did not even enter into Jesus until he was Baptized, So Now we have 3 offices in the godhead. Yes there is ONE LORD & ONE GOD, We have God the father as the creator, Then we see God coming down when Jesus was baptized in the form of a Dove to dwell in his son Jesus, Then on the day of Pentacost we now see the holy Ghost coming down as that as a comforter, BUT all the self same spirit, God is always a spirit & never a person. We see God a Spirit the creator of all things, Then we see God coming down to Dwell in Jesus when Jesus was baptized at age about 30, Now to those who want to believe that Jesus was God, who was it that died on that cross, NOT GOD, BUT THE SON OF GOD, God can never die & will never die, don't the bible say that God sent his only begotten Son to die for our sins, God did not say, He died for our sins, After Jesus acended into heaven, God sent the Holy Ghost back to us, whih is the spirit of God, itself, Jesus has the holy Ghost without measure & we have it with measure, So now we see God has the Father & Creator, We see Jesus as the lamb to be offer up & we see the Holy Ghost as the comforter, But all the self same spirit of god only working in 3 offices as God The Fther, God IN his Son, & God as the Holy Ghost, Just like myself, I am a father, I am a husband & I am a grandfather, but I am only one body & soul.

amazing isn't it.... that is one of the wonders of God and faith. Since Jesus is God,, and Jesus wasborn of Mary, May is the mother of God....however it's God the Son. God did not step out of heaven but rather sent HIs Son.... that is the glory of the trinity!
