For the people saying that Mexican is really Spanish, they are both right and wrong. There are lots of differences between the two. Sort of like English and American but even more.
Mi plato mexicano preferido es los "tacos". Taco in European Spanish has a completely different meaning, either a cubed cut of meat or cheese, or a "cuss" word.

First of all Mexican is not a language. It is Spanish! That's like saying we speak American in the United States.
It would be:
Tacos estan mi comida favorita.
In English- Tacos they are my favorite food.

Hi! first and foremost there is no "mexican language" in mexico they speak Spanish, and you should say "Mi plato mexicano favorito son los tacos"
