surely, if you are interested in taking action against these horrendous crimes, you would do something more pro active than light candles and send emails? Maybe raise money for a charity concerned with child abuse?

Please let me know any pro active works if I have time I will support in any means I can ... and I dont work for this charity ... and we should make sure the fund should not abused as well. Thank you for your comment which is very valuable.

I do understand where you are coming from ....
but I am positive that the campaign will switch it on and so on on many people mind ... and eventually the message will pass on to whoever is responsible for this evil act.

iv lit a candle for the victims of abuse,its really sad to think how a child cannot be entirely safe from some people,they should all be treated with respect and love, and not abused

So for all of you who went to this website and "lit a candle", are you significantly more "aware" of the problem then you were before you lit your candle?
How many of you are satisfied knowing that you have done your "good deed" by lighting a candle. How many of you will stop at that?
There in lies the problem. Most people will light their candle, and ignore the problem. Instead of going to some website and pretending to be part of the solution, why don't you actually do something about it.
Just my opinion...... Awareness websites are a joke.

re why a candle will help..... it shows that not everyone online is an abuser and can give them strength to reach out to someone for help.... hopefully my children will never be affected but many are and do not know where to turn
