In your opinion, should he make us somehow understand that he is a priest? He could write it in his profile. Should he make himself recognized by everybody just like in the real life when he wears the white collar? What I mean is, why wearing the white collar in the real life to be distinguished and here not? Think about the fact that in chat and all these pages he expresses his opinions on matters of faith and interpretations of the sacred texts as the bible, should he make himself recognized by the others in this case?

Message for Goofy: Exactly for their knowledge of religious facts and faith I think it would be interesting to know whom you're talking with.

There might be priests, just like any other ppl.. Why do we speak of them as a different category of human beings? They are normal ppl who don't have to warn others that they are priests such as doctors don't have to wear their white coats just to tell / warn ppl that they are doctors!!
If a priest is here, he is here as a human, as any of us is.. & when he writes his views, he simply writes what he thinks, just like any of us... However, we should expect a priest to be a good beleiver & have good information about religious matters...
When he says his opinion, he says his personal opinion, may be enriched with his knowledge / experience as a priest, but still his personal opinion which can agree / disagree with anyone else's or with another priest's opinion.. (Except of course for religious facts & faith)
Personally, there were some questions here that made me think & I hoped to know what a priest would answer ...

Whether a priest, pastor or other clergy are on here, it's hard to tell. Many people are pretending to be something they're not. People post provocative questions just to rile someone up.
Besides, this forum is more of an entertainment venue than anything else. Why would someone waste their time on some of these people? Better things to do in the "real world". God Bless.

Yes...but many people would not. Not wanting to get in potential trouble with employers, friends, and the like. Those who know me personally know my political and religious views (more than open about it). I am not sure however that it is wise to post ones name on the internet in most capacities...this kind of forum where one can choose a name and be known by it (alias) is the better alternative (for many reasons).

t that now is there ,there is also satanists ,thiests ,theoists buddists etc
all should be allowed to just be honest ,allowed to speak as a person to other people
by thier words you can try to see thier /our humanity or lack of it
but jesus said by thier deeds you will know them
so what it would cramp my freespeech if i knew the pope was whatever alias he may be using
some things it is better not to know
wonder what alias gwb is using
ive noted his humour on these pages
but dont bother ,why should thier word hold more weight than yours
these are question and answer pages and we got enough preconcieved bias built in as it is
but to answer your question yes there are probably a few lay preachers and priests replying/and asking
and what better way to remain human than to interact with humanity.

And you think the fact that someone identifies himself/herself online as a priest is reason to believe that the person actually is one???
