you're right below the scores in getting the best rates. Here is the break points for credit - 600,620,680,720 Anything below 600 is bad but you can still get a house with 100% financing as low as 580, the higher the score the better the rate and the less fees you'll need to pay.

618 is on the border of getting worse. I believe any thing under 600 is extremely bad
