surely, this would be a valueble bit of information when deciding between two horses and finding out that one horse can actually finish over that distance 15 secs faster.

Some of you might say it is because they carry different wieghts, origanly, horses were bred for pulling huge loads, so a couple of extra pounds here and there would'nt make much difference. Just like a 100 meter runner who ate too much over christmas.

In greyhound racing you never see the time also, they have the same wieght.

If you did have the time displayed for these races, then you could have like 'world champion' at that distance or European Champion.

what are your opinions?, or am I just babbling on.

when they tie or break a track record the P,A.does tell you the time of finish is on the board at least no. and so.California is that way thank god we don't have dogs bad comparison Michael Roanne still calls the 1st to last when calling every race so did Trevor down in so, cal. and he still might call 1st to last every race

Who cares? What we want to know which is first second or third so the bookmaker will pay out. Too many variables to worry about times.
