As some answerers have written, no one can know the date of His return for His Church. This is referred to as the Rapture and happens before the 7-year Tribulation.

However, new Christians living through the Tribulation WILL know the date (but not the time) of His return: Daniel 12:11-12 tells us He will return exactly 1,335 days after the daily sacrifices are stopped in the new Temple. I'm sure this information is given in order to strengthen and encourage Tribulation saints, but it is not of use to those of us in the Church Age.

You write that you're afraid you're "not good enough to go to Heaven." PLEASE remember that NONE of us is good enough to go to Heaven on our own; however, if you've accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and devote your life to loving Him and following His commandments, you are considered spiritually Born Again (read John 3 for additional details). ALL Born Again believers will go to Heaven. Your salvation does NOT depend upon works, such as "titheing," which doesn't even apply to the New Covenant Church anyway (if you want more details, send me a message through YA). If a person could go to Heaven by merely doing good works, the road wouldn't be all that narrow, would it (Luke 13:24)? Paul writes at Ephesians 2: 8 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast." He also writes at Romans 4:4 that "Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt." So if you could "work" your way into Heaven by paying tithes, you would not have received God's grace; you would be receiving your "wages."

This concept is one of the most difficult things for a new Christian to fully understand, particularly if he or she attends a Church that places too much emphasis on "works." Meditate on these passages in the Bible and Read Romans 4 and all of the Epistle to the Ephesians for more information.

Peace.

Seriously, dont beat yourself up over it. Life is an experience and you cant know the good unless you know the bad, but you must always try to find the good in all things.
I believe in some of what the Bible says as i see links in it that coincide with ancient texts and other religions, there seems to be some truth in alot of things.
But regardless.. Our Creator is a loving being and contrair to what most say, hell is what we create in our lives and what we see with war, famine, disease etc. We all go to a good place. Alot of stuff is scare tactic that we are told and if im wrong then so be it, but i have been baptised and confirmed, I believe in a Creator, but i wont be taken by these scare tactics, because if our Creator is a Unconditional Loving God then he would not allow for anything other than a place of gloriousness for us when we reach the other side.

We all sin and fall short. This is why we repent. No one knows the hour or day that Jesus will return except God. But I believe Christians won't be around at the time Jesus comes back because of the rapture. So when people are raptured, this leaves about a 7 year period for Jesus' return.

If you truly are a Christian, then you shouldn't be doubting your salvation. You cannot do good deeds to earn yourself heaven. It is impossible, and it is saying that Christ died for no reason. Christ died for your sins... like lying and every other sin. It was nailed to the cross. That settled it!

"For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast."

No one knows when Christ will return again. It will happen in the blink of an eye. Just be sure you are doing what's right every day. That is:

1. PRAY
2. Read your Bible
3. Tell as many people as you can the good news of your salvation.

Do not doubt your salvation or think you have to do certain good things to earn your way. It's so much easier than that! Just believe that Christ died for your sins and accept the free gift of eternal life.

Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.

God Bless!

We all sin, God knows that. As long as you have repented, asked for forgiveness, and asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart, you're going to heaven, that's not to say that you don't need to ask for forgiveness when you do lie or whatever because you do. You need to strive to do better, be Christ like, we all do. Only God knows when Jesus is coming back, so we all need to be ready!

It is important to eradicate all sin from our lives but it comes from loving God so much that you want to be as obedient to Him as possible. Jesus is not a legalist. The religious leaders were and they would make it impossibly hard for people by telling them what they must do and not helping them . Jesus tells us what we must do and helps us. But really if you want to be obedient in every way, and we must because He is coming back for His bride that is without spot or wrinkle, then you need to go deeper with your relationship. Ask Him to help you and He will. He wants that more than you do.

According to the Bible, it could be soon. All of the major Bible prophesy has been fulfilled. Don't worry about not being good enough, all Christians sin each day, the important thing is that you are sorry for doing it and you ask God for forgiveness.
