It's the fear that babies have when they are forced to enter this awful World. They don't know they are being born. They probably think they are dieing......I did.

I think if a baby suffered a traumatic birth, i.e: emergency caesarian, there could be a case for birth trauma. It is traumatic enough coming through the correct channels, but at least the baby goes through the normal birth process of hormonal changes etc. This should not affect baby long term.
Lack of oxygen or similar in non-normal births will affect the individual all it's life, but don't expect any help or liability from the medical profession. You just have to be a lot more understanding of your childs individual needs and remember why they arn't quite what is known as normal, whatever that is.
Yes, I believe in birth trauma, not sure about remembering it though. But, why not? Everyone is unique and DIFFERENT. I say, don't judge, try to understand that not everyone thinks as you do. Doesn't make anyone right or wrong, just individual.

Yes you are onto an idea that may be true. Birth is part of the death of pre-earth life and if thought was there it is of ending one life. So too dieing here is an ending as we enter another life. My earth birth was into a body that was different from the normal. Maybe it was drugs that mommy had or it was from a genetic fact like thick egg shells and I became a clone of mommy. Anyhow I was sexually non-functional as an infant as all male babies are when only the hormones commence cell division. This reproduction way is unlike some inbred babies that are closer to primitive man mentally. thick egg shells in mommy has an asset at times. Anyhow this is how I feel when looking back on life starts. It took many years for me to discover all this as I was slow in developing as a baby. Let me know what you think.

Yes I do and its not only about entering the world, its about the changes in sensations that they recieve that can be traumatic. Imagine being somewhere nice and warm where your automatically fed every day, then all of a sudden you can hear loud noises, things are squeezing against you, there are hands touching you everywhere...etc...etc.... (you get my point). This trauma (its called trauma because it affects a young mind psycholocally as the changes are intense for what it knows) can affect the child growing up too and this can pass into adulthood.

I dont believe that anyone can remember being born or that being born traumatically would have any bearing on the childs future development unless there was a medical problem.
I dont see how something that is natural (ie; being born) could be traumatic for a creature that knows nothing until it enters the world.

Sounds dodgy!!

Why then are there so many well adjusted and normal babies in the world. If it was a traumatic event everybody would be messed up. Messed up people obviously have some other issue/s that contribute to their problems.

I certainly don't beleive babies suffer from birth trauma, if they did how come they sleep and eat happily with hours of the event. Now certainly many mothers suffer from trauma after a bad birth, it is actually extremely common
