I like Sparky! Or Sunny. Cats respond better to names ending with an ee sound. My black cat is called Bonnie, all that's left of the original Bonnie and Clyde, my 'Bad Boys'! He's never really got over being stuck with a girly name so be sure you get it right! It is good to wait for a character to develop - then its easy to choose a name. My two were known as Sumo and the Karate Kid for quite some time because of the way they behaved but in the end we decided they were a couple of major crime figures in the making, and inseparable, hence Bonnie and Clyde. We were misinformed about Bonnie tho and I think it's left him with a complex, poor dear!

My son named his first black cat Midnight (he was 4 then) He got another black cat when he was 20 and he called her Nuisance.

And you know, Nuisance suits her name just PERFECTLY.
He waited 3 days before he named the second one too. I think the longer you take to name your pet, the better name you'll come up with and the name will probably fit the animals personality.

Well, if it is a boy kitten, call him Penelope and if it is a girl kitten call her Roger. That way you reduce the likelihood of any surprising multiplication in cat numbers.
