While gravy is one of the unhealthiest things for our body to consume, something about the richness of it brings the right meal to a plateau. I can't tell you the exact way to make KFC's gravy, I will tell share this with you your taste buds are craving the spices. Try this, it all starts with preparation of the chicken which, the scent alone has the neighbors! The best out option is to use a whole cut up fryer, because the extra pieces of chicken enhances the over all flavor of the "GRAVY" ! Soak the pieces in salt water, feel free to be generous with the salt just don't get ridiculous! Oh remember to separate the breast, a lot of people spend extra money the breast and don't know to properly prepare it. Simply flip it over and go up under the skin,I use my thumb, stick it inside the the piece and pull the way opposite the bone, once you start it, it usually opens up and and split the little membrane add the chicken to the water wash your hands add a bit of lemon juice and let it soak 4 to six hours. The coating, you'll need about 2 cups of "ALL POURPOSE FLOUR" remember that, some powdered chicken bouillion not the cube kind. you need about 4 or 5 table spoons of that, garlic "powder" not garlic salt! about 1and1/2 to 3 tablespoons of that depends on the validity of your tastebuds, onion "powder" the same as the garlic, a half table spoon of ginger "powder", a couple of pinches of nutmeg, sprinkle some dried italian seasoning not the dressing, and black pepper at your on discretion mix all of this in a gallon zipper bag, zip and turn it up side down and back up. When it is time to cook the chicken, there a couple of ways to do that, I usually use peanut oil in a deep wide pot, not really big one but the one next to it. You also need a flat cooking pan, and a nice size skillet. ok 1. Rinse the chicken off gently rinse out the bowl and add quarter cup of milk. Turn on your grease and pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees. Take care not to let you oil overheat, the deeper the the pot the longer it takes to before the oil is the right temperature no longer than 13 minutes while you are waiting for the oil to heat go ahead and coat your chicken, also mince a quarter of an onion, you will know when you oil is ready when you drop a few sprinkles of water in it and it crackles. If you smell your oil it is too hot turn it off! Check to see if you burned it. If not proceed I normal use the whole 48oz. bottle that should give you a genral idea about the size of your pot. First thing first when your oil is ready turn your skillet on also get a few tablespoons of the oil add to you skillet and turn the skillet on medium low, add your onions to the skillet and move them around drop the neck the back and the liver and gizzards to your oil first add a little more oil to you onions and about 5 table spoons of your seasoned flour stirring the whole while next add about a half of water stirring until it is like cake batter or something, by that time your pieces in the oil would have rose to the top add those to the skillet plus a cup of water stir and turn down low and seal it. Your chicken, remember to shake the extra flour off your pieces and add to the oil cook about 6 to 8 minutes remove each piece and put it on the flat pan and into the oven for about 20 minutes. After your chicken is the oven turn your gravy down to low heat add a sprinkle of onion powder, a sprinkle of garlic powder some salt and pepper a teaspoon of starch and a splash of milk, cover stirring occassionally so the gravy does not stick. at the end of the twenty minutes take the chicken out of the oven. oh please remember to turn the chicken after 10 minutes. Scrape the pan droppings in the gravy stir turn off and let the gravy sit for a minute. I am from a long line of gravy making wonders hopefully this might satisfy your tastebuds!

I just quit at KFC and the way it's made.

We get powdered KFC brand gravy delivered to us, mix it with water, boil it. then we get fines (which is the fat from cooked chicken and boil that in some water. Add it all together and there you go.
