I know I'm young only a junior in high school but life just isn't what I expected it to be. There is nothing to look forward to. I don't want to do anything. All the things that seemed to matter to me don't mean anything anymore. I don't want to live anymore but I don't want to kill myself either. The only problem is there seems like nothing else to do. I'm sure everyone would be better off without me.

Things change. Stick around and you'll see. Also, things change according to what you give your interest to. Check it out.

Don't try to be what anyone else wants you to be. Find out what matters to you and go for it.
Good luck.

Being a teenager is always difficult, but A LOT of people go through the same as you. And even if everything seems hopeless now, I promise you it will change.
When I was 15-16 I really hated my life. I had no real friends at school, I was being bullied and I didn't enjoy doing anything, except music. Music is one of the most important things in my life, and that was what got me through those years. I'm 20 years old now, and I'm happy!

There are people around you that love you and care about you. Talk to your parents/siblings, or mayby a therapist? Just don't give up, it will be alright in the end. Suicide is NOT the answer.

Life isn't easy for anyone. You have your whole life to look forward to- partys, boyfriends etc etc. It's all part of growing up. Suicide is a really touchy subject. I think you should go and talk to someone. I know this maybe hard. What about if you tell a close friend how your feeling and then she can come with you and talk to a teacher, a parent, or a counsellor. Trust me, you would be missed a lot!

Maybe write a list of all the things you like about yourself, and all the good things in your life eg. friends. And then put this list some where safe and look at it when ever your feeling sad. If your still feeling like this in a few weeks, I suggest you talk to a doctor.

Everybody was born for a reason and have a purpose in life. We don't always know straight away what it is but eventually you will. I tried killing myself 9 times before i realised that if i was still alive there was a reason. I gave my life to God, married a wonderful guy had two kids then got divorced (i thought my life was over again) then 4 years later i married an even better guy and realised my first husband was not soo great. I'm still trying to realise my purpose in life but everyday i have more to live for.

Take up a hobby, deal with homeless kids or kids with no parents. When you see how little others have you will realise how blessed you are

is it you do not like the subjects in the class in the high school?

did you have a small idea what career you wanted but got stucked in another subject?

i ever encountered the situation before.

try look at the several co-subjects you are studying right now in the school and expand your knowledge on it while maintaining a neutral on the other subjects.

no matter if you graduate or not, at least you will have a good more or less knowledge on the 1 or more co-subject(s) you have expanded on in the 1st. place.

if you did graduate, you have more options open to you in other areas of the working society.

if you did not graduate, you have to work harder and focus on your knowledge on the 1 or more co-subject(s) you have learnt hard.

of course, it is good to graduate but i am pointing to the fact that other course of subjects may not be open or available in certain situations such as finance.

life is not perfect and if you ever become good in certain areas for the good of the society 1 day, do help others if only the help is warranted for the goodwill of the society and the people.

it is not easy to balance between negative and positive at times.

if you ever came across other problems and could not analyse them in certain ways, there are helps and welfare out there, example, charity, help groups in churches and other places, counsellors, doctors, physciatrists etc.

take it step by step.

and good luck!

Dear Candace, I wish I could be wherever you are to give you a hug, a firm look in the eye and tell you that you are needed more than you could possibly know at this moment. I am not a bible toting Christian but I do have a deep belief in God and it has been proven to me time after time during my 64 years that I do have a purpose. I'll never be a famous anything but my life has been so full of unexpected surprises that I wouldn't have wanted to miss even one of them. Please, talk to someone if possible but most of all begin to LOVE YOURSELF. We all make mistakes (big and small) but who knows what waits around that next corner. I've loved my life regardless of the times I've fallen down and had to get up again. If you give yourself a chance I think you will too!

When you get a chance hop on the first plane and come to Europe!!!! You will change your attitude towards life. Where do you live??????? May-be you can do a college course in Rome. Smile and write down all the wonderful things that you have. First of all if you were born and live in the US you are lucky!!!!! Write down all the positive things and also write the things that are bugging at the moment. We all go through these phases . It is part of growing up. Make a big smile and be happy!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like your pretty depressed. Thats when my depression started, in high school. I strongly reccomend talking to someone and getting on an antidepressant. Also, there are three areas of life you can work on to improve the quality of your life. Spirit, Mind, and Body. For the best quality of life all three areas need to be cared for. Are you taking care of all three areas. Talk to someone in your area, a counselor, dr, minister, parent...etc. What ever you do, do not allow yourself to isolate.

i feel you because I'm in the same problem, and i sent something before and i heard so many answers but i think that the problem is when we don't see the people how love us.. when we feel that we love and we are loved we find new targets for our lives which make us want to live and make others who love us be happy of what we did in our life
