Persistent bad breath could have a medical cause - problems with your teeth(cavities) or stomach may give you a bad breath, in which case you should go see a doctor and have a compelte checkup.
Also, bad breath can appear when you are loosing weight - for example, when dieting. In this case, it only goes away when you stop loosing weight.
It is very important that you see a doctor if you are having real problems with bad breath but in the meantime here some secret ingredients for hiding bad breath:
- use fresh parsley or basil - chew on it whenever you think you need to and your breath will stom smelling
- also chewing lemon or orange rind can help.

Sometimes your diet contributes to bad breath. Also, eating when you aren't hungry can contribute to bad breath because your body can't digest the food and it sits in your stomach and rots. If this is the problem try brushing your tongue sometimes there is a coating on your tongue and use mouth wash after you brush. I normally use mouthwash before I brush it seems to loosen up the plaque on my teeth.

Brush your tongue with a good tongue scraper.

Certain foods will also cause bad breath (acidic things esp coffee, protein, dairy, obviously strong things like sausage, garlic and onions). TheraBreath is the best toothgel I've found and I use it with the Oral B electronic toothbrush (plus use a tongue scraper). TheraBreath also has a fabulous oral rinse - what I like about it is it doesn't burn my mouth and leaves a crystal clean taste without residue. Yeah, it's expensive, but I don't overspend in other areas and this makes a difference daily. So, good luck with your situation - it is easy to resolve with proper techniques.

Brush your tongue as well, make sure your cleaning technique is good, use antibacterial mouthwash and floss.
If the smell persists then consult a dentist as sometimes the bad smells are not from the mouth itself but from the stomach or from a sinus problem.

make sure you are flossing at least twice a day and brush your tongue as well.

if you are still having issues with the bad breath-then make an appt to see your dentist. untreated gingivitis (gum disease) can cause bad breath and your dentist may need to scrape the plaque off of your teeth to help treat this

Using a mouthwash and tooth paste will help, also having a cleaning and dental exam. Sometimes underlying medical issues can cause breath to smell so defiantly get to the dentis or your doctor if it is ongoing!
