You should def be in Australia, Sydney if you can, or Melbourne which is also excellent!

Geez...... I don't want to think about it. I started YA when I had the flu and was bored. Now, anytime the house needs to be quiet (my daughter homeschools and is easily distracted) and I'm not doing something else, I pop on here and answer or read a few questions. It only takes a few minutes, but those minutes ad up. I read fewer books now that I am a YA addict. On the other hand, I listen to alot more internet radio and I've discovered some good music that way. Right now I stopped watching a movie with my husband to come drool in front of the Yamster's fiendish mind trap. Curses!

Being from Melbourne, I don't normally like to talk up Sydney, but I have to admit being on the banks of Sydney Harbour to watch the fire works from Sydney Harbour Bridge would be a world class experience!

Australia definately..try Sydney....around the harbour bridge and Opera house and then in the city to party.....or you could go to Bondi....although that would be good for New Years Day and a swim.....although last year i was there and it was so hot (47 degrees celcius)

Yeah, sydney harbour is meant to be really good, ive been in adelaide since i moved here and havnt seen it yet. But it depends on what you want. Try to stay on the coast, it will be baking. Brisbane (banks of the river) or sydney would have to be the best. Have fun over here (Ill be in amsterdam!!)

Even if you wanted to go to Sydney for new years it is all sold out already. If there was anything left it would be really expensive and you would have to stay out near Manly. I would suggest Melbourne because you would get a hotel room and there will be heaps of festivities.

Depends what you want to see. I've lived in NZ for almost all of my life but now live in Australia. Definitly Australia if you want a big party- Sydney or in NZ- Auckland, Wellington, Queenstown or Nelson. That's where i'd go!
