We christians do sin, and I read a chapter in Revelation says that god will judge us by our sins, if we sinned alot we will be thrown into the lake of fire whether we believe in Jesus or not. I thought if you have Jesus as your personal savior then you're free to go to heaven????

We will be held accountable for our sins, but if we ask for Christ to pay the price for our sins on our behalf, we are counted as righteous in God's eyes because of Christ's payment for us. The Bible says that if we confess and turn away from our sins, God is faithful to forgive us. That doesn't mean that we're free to live any way we want because we can ask for forgiveness later--that ain't the way it works. If we turn away from sin and turn to God, and if we ask for forgiveness for our sins, He wipes the slate clean, as if we'd never sinned at all, because Jesus already paid for our sins. We can have the most horrendous sins imaginable in our past, but if we're truly sorry for what we've done and we desire to turn away from our sins and turn to God, we will be forgiven. Jesus said in John 6:37 that He would never turn away anyone who came to Him. I'd take Him at His word on that.

For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God- the Apostle Paul wrote this. He also said "I sin, I don't want to sin but I sin anyway"
Jesus's blood washes away our sins, making us pure in Gods eyes. So from Jesus's Grace, and the Grace of God, we're allowed into Heaven

Sin is simply a path you take. When you live an unconscious life according to fear and hate, you are moving from God. When you are living an attentive life of joy and love you are moving towards God.
Sin is not an offense that is punished at a later date. The hell of not knowing God is the punishment.
Pay attention, bring love and kindness to yourself and others and you'll know God throught the peace that brings you.
God is Peace.

You will go to heaven IF you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and Savior. We will all still be judged. The difference, is that those who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior will be washed clean with His saving blood and be perfect in God's eyes.

Revelation 20:11-15
The Judgment of the Dead
" 11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and everyone was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 All whose names were not found written in the book of life were thrown into the lake of fire. "
If you read verse 13 by itself, I can see how you come up with your thoughts. You are not thrown into the lake of fire because of what you have done, you are thrown into the lake of fire because your name is not written in the Book of Life.
Everyone has to answer for their sins. Jesus paid the price for those sins, and if we believe that He died for our sins and confess it with our mouths, our name will be written in the Book of Life. We will still stand "naked" before God, answering for those sins.
Ephesians 2:8-10
"8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

In short, YES. But one’s belief should be CORRECT. That means he has to believe in ONLY ONE GOD and ask GOD for the FORGIVENESS, that’s all one has to do to achieve the PURPOSE OF LIFE.
Man or science and technology can’t answer this things/believes/struggle. Only thing left for the mankind is to find out from the ONLY ONE CREATOR that created everything that exists.
The thing is people don’t know what to follow. They follow something that haven’t said by Jesus (peace be upon him PBUH) himself. The solution to this is to do a research and find out the AUTHENCITY of the source or the books. It is not at all difficult in today’s world.
In Short: The ONLY PURE ORIGINAL WORD OF GOD is left on the phase of the planet is the HOLY QURAN that came with the prophet 1400 years ago without any SINGLE LETTER corrupted, that Guides, Faith with Proof, shows way of life, tells in details the mission of prophets including Jesus (peace be upon him PBUH), gives answers to all questions, solutions and tells much in details of what will be going to happen (past, present and future) and the purpose of existence, etc. The WORD OF GOD came with the SAME MESSAGE through prophets (from first prophet Adam to last prophet Mohammad (PBU them all) including Jesus (PBUH) and only person to interpret is the prophet of GOD at that time. Unlike HOLY QURAN all the other Books are corrupted and are not in the PURE ORIGINAL WORD OF GOD that’s is due to the handy work of Jinn/Devil and also human nature to follow their own desires rather than following the simple message of all the prophets that is to believe in ONLY ONE GOD in order to achieve the PURPOSE OF LIFE. In Muslim world there are many books available today in different languages of the ORIGINAL INTERPRETATION of the HOLY QURAN by the prophet of GOD about 1400 years ago that is the only interpretation that has to be follow to be the true follower of the prophet as commanded by GOD and the ONLY WAY to SUCCESS that is both in this WORLD and ETERNAL PARADISE.
