The universe, let alone the earth is in a chaotic order. In other words it looks like things are just thrown together on the surface. However, you then realize that even if the tiniest of things was misplaced or somehow different, a vast amount of difference can be made. The point is, everything around is so perfectly balanced, it's hard to believe that it's just coincidence that everything just happens to work. There is a force behind everything, God is that force and order.

Your right, how can things be so perfect just by chance? God is behind everything.

How perfect it is? Look around you, every day millions of animals kill and eat eachother, natural disasters regularly kill thousands. People are starving to death, millions of them, because parts of this planet are no good for growing food on. There is not a single person who doesn't suffer on this planet, thats how perfect it is.

How can you say we evolved - By finding evidence from fossils and other areas of science and using it to draw conclusions about the origin of life, much better than reading out of a (possibly wrong) two thousand year legend.

Essentially you've asked three diff qs, the final, how can god not exist, i can't answer, he could. I just don't believe he does.

Why do you say it's a perfect planet? Clearly the planet is only "perfect" for a moment. Ice core samples and other evidence show us that among other things, the sun has been considerably more variable in the past and will certainly be again in the future - causing severe climate swings. There is also evidence of *several* mass extinctions (not just the meteor or comet hit that killed the dinosaurs 65 million years ago). The latest of these occurred just 76,000 or so years ago, was caused by a volcano, and nearly wiped out early man.

So, why do you think Earth is so perfect?

This is a big false dichotomy. Why would you think that to believe in evolution denies god?

The Catholic church and almost all protestant faiths all agree that evolution probably happened. Their is currently more evidence for evolution that for almost any other scientific theory. Evolution is a theory in the same way that gravity is a theory, ie it has been tested and proved sound so often by so many people that to argue is isn't true is absolute nonsense.

If you call earthquakes, volcanos, hurricanes, tsunamis, disease, starvation, birth defects and climate extremes "perfect", you must be kidding.

Like most creationists, you obviously haven't bothered to discovered what science actually says about evolution, though you may have read what creationists falsely claim science says.

Educate yourself. Check out the talk.origins FAQ's.

If you don't learn what evolution is REALLY about, you're doomed to look foolish.

Save it: with evolutionists, this argument does NOT work. Actually, NO argument works!! The evolutionist will tell you that evolution has nothing to do with the universe, Earth, or the original life form. It deals only with the development of the the first life form into the variety of life forms today. That took millions of years so it cannot be duplicated in a lab.

I'm a Christian, and DO NOT accept Theistic Evolution. I believe in a young earth, and 6 literal days of creation.

With all the natural disasters constantly going on, planet Earth is really far from perfect.

You're definately right, God through Jesus created us whether we believe it or not. God does exist. It is he who created the heavens and the earth.

How do we know that God isn't behind the whole evolution thing? I don't think the two have to be exclusive.
