I have friends who prefer both.
The pros of glasses are:
-In some cases it makes you look more sophisticated than you actually are *grin*
-Taking them off is easy
-You can use them for stall tactics
Cons
-Damn things break at the drop of a hat sometimes
-They get lost and need to be replaced
-You have to carry them around with you all the time
And now for contact lenses
Pros
-They are much more compact and easy to carry than glasses
-They relieve you of that geeky look that your coke bottle glasses gave you
Cons
-You still have to carry things around with you to clean them from time to time
-In alot of cases they can only stay in your eyes for several hours before you have to remove them and clean them.
-Depending upon the brand, you may end up irritating your eyes so that your eyes look bloodshot like you just came off a bender
-They tend to be more expensive in the long run (you have to keep buying solution and replace them at intervals, depending upon weather you got hard or soft lenses)
-Again depending upon the type you will have to replace them from time to time

No. Members of the SAS ought to have ultimate eyesight. Any type of corrective lenses of contatcs will make you exempt from becoming a member of. As for laser eye surgical procedure, I'm no longer even certain you might become a member of after having that. You'd exceptional speak to a recruiter approximately that. But glasses and contacts are a no-no.

Contact lenses give you better vision than spectacles, but there is always the chance of losing a lense or eye irritations/infections. I think it's about personal choice/preference.

Look dear, contact lenses have their advantage over spectacles & of course there are some disadvantages:
Advantages:
1-Better visual acuity.
2-increased field of vision as there is no frame.
3-less magnification than spectacles about 10%
4-Better binocular vision in unilateral aphakia.
5-less prismatic effect by lens periphery.
6-cosmetic appearance,as it's not seen.
Disadvantages:
1-intolerance.
2-special care.
3-complications.
4-contamination.
Complications:
1-Ocular irritation & congestion.
2-giant papillary conjunctivitis.
3-corneal complications[oedema,abrasion & ulceration].
& to know I were contact lenses since about a year,Thanks Allah,no complications, but sometimes I feel congestion in my eyes. But they are many times much more better than spectacles & I have no intension to quit use.
Good luck.

darkie- c eyesite is a eyesite, don't bother about the face shape.
glasses r for ur eyes, they cannot be avoided.
c lenses r no different than ur glasses.
the only thing u have to do with them is to remove daily at bed time.
u should use them carefully not like glasses.
they r really good if u use them in a proper manner.
but truly there r many hazards if u move around too much.
