This year it is tomorrow the 24th October, 2006 the Eid-Ul-Fitr will be celebrated.

U r smart to ask such an ambigious question. India has different sect of Muslims and all the sects do not celebrate Eid at the same time.
The Bohra Community celebrates it on Monday. While the other communities shall get to see the Moon on Mon Evng, so they shall celebrate it on Tue.
Not sure when Ismailees will celebrate, may be theyshall also join the wagon with majority on Tue.

Today is Eid Alfitir in united arab emirates, but i have no idea about Eid Alfitir in india.
