1 Corinthians 10:13
"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."
You are not alone. Being a Christian does not make you immune to anything bad. The good news is God can help you through anything!

One thing that helps me is to call on Jesus in times of temptation. If you feel like its a demon or something that is truly haunting you, tell it to leave in the name of Christ. Remember, demons and Satan alike are terrified of the power and authority of Christ, and as a Christian you have access to that power! Nothing can stop a sanctified creation of God from conquering Satan. Furthermore, God will NEVER allow you to be in a situation that has no way out. It might be a hard path to choose, but its always there, just remember to look. But above all remember that Jesus loves you! He knows how many hairs are on your head and he smiles when he thinks of you. Look up the music video, Everything, by Lifehouse. there should be some kind of skit. Its very powerful. Good luck, and I'll be praying for you :)

We are in a war ( a spiritual one with the devil and his work force). In Ephesians 6 we are told to put on the full armour of God. This is spiritual armour. We have only one weapon and that is the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. Jesus was tempted by satan in the wilderness. He only ever answered by quoting scripture. That is because it is God's word and satan cannot stand against it. You need to ensure that you are being fully obedient to God. If there is anything in your life that is not of God get it out. By this I mean too much tv.(it is a modern day false idol) swearing or saying things that are crude. Entering into a relationship (romantic)with an unsaved man. drinking, smoking, reading material that is ungodly, having close friends that are unsaved. (we must be in relationship with non-Christians but we should always guard our heart and not cast pearl before swine).
You need to pray and ask for God's help and you need to begin speaking out scripture. Rebuke the devil in Jesus' name and stay close to God. These things need to take precedence in your life.
I will pray for you but you must get yourself sured up for the battle that we all have to endure as Christians. The devil is a liar and a theif and a murderer. But he is no match for Almighty God. Read psalm 91. Take it as a medicine 3 times a day. Read it aloud and know that it is for you.
I hope this helps. Do not be afraid though, you are a child of the most high God and as long as you are in relationship with Him He will take care of you. I suspect you are called to intercessory warfare and this is your training ground.
Every blessing.

Pray and when you feel that you are being attacked put on the armor of God.
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Ephesians 6: 14-18

If you have a believing spouse, pray with them - this is very powerful because God has joined you together. If not ask God to show you anything that he wants you to turn from. Don't try to think up things - if it is God answering this kind of pray the answer is usually quick and clear!

I don't think the spirit can be attacked. The spirit can't be burned or withered or cut or anything. But your mind can be attacked and obviously your body.
You need to pay more attention to developing your bond with God, by praying to him sweetly and submissively, mainly asking for his protection. keep aksing for his protection every day. don't worry so much about 'doing this right' - of course it imporatnt but being with God is mroe imporatnt and He is right there with us all the time.
sometimes 'maya' (or satan / material energy) gets stronger when she sees us moving away from her (away from materialistic life) and seeking God. in a way we get mroe challenged than before, but we are stonger if we take shelter / seek protection of God.

You believe in evil as an intelliegence, a power, a being...this belief opens the door to possible images and experiences based on that belief.
Beyond your belief, there is nothing to fear, for you are a child of God. Nothing real can be threatened, and only God and all that God knows and is, is real.

One of the Clergy's responsibilities is to counsel people, believers or not. I recommend that you contact your clergyman and seek counseling. He should be able to determine if this is a spiritual problem and help you with the next logical step.
