Actually I'm sure they do!
cats start menustration around as early as three months old. Cats are in heat monthly and can howl pretty noisily at times if you don't get her fixed. There are now "Cat Pads" for her period you can even buy online. They are expensive but well worth it if you desire all your furniture the same color.

Yes they do and it usually starts at about 7 months for cats. Please never let your female cat outside or the menstration will be 100 times worse. Usually lasts for about a week and the worst part is, you guessed it, the moodiness, and wilder in nature, alot like a women I guess in many of the ways they deal with it all. Don't let the cat outside ever!!!!!!!!!

There's some substantial confusion, apparently... The confusion seems to be between 'heat' and 'period.' I think the key lies in the last quotation: technically, it's oestrous, not menstruation, but...
A book I read recently (on cats; title forgotten) said: yes; a very small amount of usually clear fluid.
Anyway, I wanted to know, too, thanks to the spaying appointment not getting here fast enough... So (note that even the same source -- Wikipedia -- gets confused):

Dogs do! Ha. Um, get the cat spayed before it goes into heat - the noise they make and the actions - it is heartbreaking!
