The best advice from my side is to shampoo ur hair before appying henna, then apply henna, after having a wash with shampoo u can use oil for making the colour more dark, as the henna can make ur hairs dry , so u must put hair oil in henna before applying it to ur hairs. Moreover it's a very good conditioner n is best for hairs for colouring as it doesn't contains harse chemicals like hair colous/dyes.

henna is excellent for treating dandruff. It is also a good conditioner. But Henna does make hair extremely dry, though not brittle. Which is why henna(used solely for conditioning) should also be applied AFTER a good oil massage.

However, If you are using henna to hide grey hair, then you can oil your hair, because henna does not coulour oiled hair.

Go and buy moisturising shampoo and conditioner, hot oil treatment, and hair damage repair cream. Use the hot oil before you shampoo. Leave it in. Then shampoo and rinse. Then mix 1/2 cup conditioner, 1/4 cup honey, and 1 tablespoon of almond oil in a bowl and put it in your hair from roots to tips. Then put your hair in a shower cap and leave in the deep conditioner for about 20 minutes or more. Then rinse it out. You can use something like Hask Placenta leave in hair treatment after conditioning, but dont rinse it out cuz its a leave in treatment. Once you do that, Gently towel dry your hair and put the moisture cream in and let it air dry or style it however you want.

It's supposed to condition it and/or color it. It depends on what form of Henna you are putting in your hair. Usually it is mixed with a hot oil treatment and then applied.

It will make your hair dry and brittle. What i would suggest that you do is that a apply it and then shampoo and condition your hair regularly. Oil treatment can also help in making your hair healthy and living it shiny.
