It might have bad teeth and might need a few of them pulled.. Need to see a vet for that.

I have found a couple things that helped with my cat. The easiest is the water additive. It is supposed to kill bacteria and keep their mouths cleaner. Read the ingredients though. Some have xylitol which is controversial for pets. Too much can be fatal. The second is I supplement with raw chicken chunks. I use boneless thighs mostly but could use other parts. I chunk them enough so he can't carry the whole piece away but not too small so that he still has to chew. I also occasionally give him Dentratreat but it is the most expensive of the three and hard to find locally so I end up getting it shipped. Bad breath can occasionally be a sign of underlying medical conditions so it is a good thing to ask your vet about next time you're there. They are unlikely in such a young cat though. Things like gingivitis (inflamed gums), oral tumors, lung disease, kidney disease etc.

Brush his teeth. The cat may have a serious plaque or tartar build-up. You can buy an enzyme based cat toothpaste from vet or pet store. Follow label directions. GThe cat will not like it but eventually will submit to teeth being brushed routinely. Oh - don't brush toooo long. I have to brush the teeth of my two cats coz they are on wet-food diet and if I let it go, their breath will be unacceptable and I'll have a huge vet dentist bill by the end of the year. See to it, freind.

Take kitty to the vet right away. Really bad breath in a cat is a sign of something that needs to be treated. If she doesn't like food that you'd think she normally would like, she may have a sore mouth, which could be anything from a gum infection to mouth cancer.

OK your cat is a rescued cat
1st off the animal shelter would have checked her mouth for you and made sure that her teeth and gums were fine before handed it over to you. So its not her mouth.Yes it could be the food you are given her. The dry food is the best for her and if shes hungry enough she will eat it in the end. You can also buy chew bars for her to help with her breath

Buy a toothbrush (or use an old one) and some cat toothpaste. You can usually get that from the vets or a pet shop. Brush your cat's teeth once a week or as directed by your vet.

Take her to the vet and have her teeth checked out. It could be a rotten tooth or gingevitis. This can give a cat really minging breath.

The obvious answer is that she needs her teeth looking at, but it could also be a sign that she has a problem with her kidneys. Take her to the vet and get her checked out properly.

Hi there... there are some instances where the bad breath could be more indicative of gum or tooth disorders. A vet visit should be considered to rule out any possible infections.

the only way to stop it is to go to the vets and arrange for her to have her teeth cleaned, it will leave her with nicer smelling breath for a while, but to keep them clean you need to give her crunchies. I do this with my cat, I put some soft food in a bowl and then put cat crunchies on the top.
