Yes for sure, I always drive slower if a ballad is on.
Faster and a touch more aggressively if The Stones are playing.

One time late at night I was driving listening to classical music... It was soft and quiet and suddenly loud... the sudden loudness made me jerk the steering wheel and I spun out on a wet road and nearly died.... so ... um... yes... music really can influence drivin'.

if you listen to music that makes you feel a certain reaction any other time like while working out you may not like to listen to classical music but rather hard rock or metal. when in college i had a professor that played classical music during exams that was nice to me.if this has happened to you then it's fair to say music can do the same thing in the car . it certainly can for me

Definitely!
For example you can be in traffic bumper to bumper in L.A. down the 405, you turn on some classical music with your AC on (if its hot) or your heater (if its chili) and relax. or if you are in a rush to get home down the carpool lane on the 105 with some rock music you will definitely be doing some speeding. (Just keep an eye out for the panda's)

Depends on what kind of music. It can be distracting if too loud or if its rock or pop.
