i have a large cyst in,on my liver.twelve inches across.How will doc get rid of it? It has been painful.

Dumplingmuffin has a good point, however your liver is the only internal organ which will grow back if bits of it are removed. It's going to be a big op but ultimately worth it. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Are you just kidding? Please excuse me for asking this. What you have mentioned a cyst of 12" on Liver is unbelievable. Even if it is not cancer you will have lot of pain and symptoms. How you came to know of the size. You had any check up. Please consult a Oncologist (Surgical) and he will remove it and also make a biopsy to evaluate if it cancerous. If it is not cancerous we should thank God. I wish that only. But if it is cancerous apart from removal by surgery chemotherapy and radiation therapy are to be made. I do not know you and we can not have communications also. I am little bit worried. Consult doctor immediately. Please take care. Wish you all the best.

this depends entirely on your physical shape and the type of cyst it is as the liver is a dangerous place to operate,it bleeds heavily
