There's a beach about 20 minutes walk north east along the coast from Juan Griego on Isla Margarita Venezuela that's just great if you want a chilled out, but cheap beach club - nice food, cheap cold beers. Ask for Carlos - he's the one with the dancing parrot!

Or, if you're after some serious seclusion, head for Bocas Del Toro in North East Panama and grab a taxi to Turtle Beach or a boat to Red Frog beach. They are both absolutely stunning and you will probably be the only people there.

Paphos in Cyprus- everything you could possibly want is there. Lovely beaches of Coral bay and Laura beach is a must as well as some excellent places to eat- the food is Divine there. You can shop till you drop at the local market or go and experience some culture at Tomb of the Kings or Aphrodite rock and her baths. Trodos Mountains are excellent for the explorers and they look fabulous in winter!

The people are great and always take time out to help you or just even to have a chat with you.

Definitely Paphos.

To Playa de Palma in Majorca. Although its only 15mins from the airport by taxi, it is very peaceful, relaxed, friendly and yet it has so much nightlife without being loud and raucous. The beaches never get packed out, the young ones are all in Magalluf, the Dutch and Germans [majority of tourists] can drink without getting rowdy and fighting etc., I love it and will go back every oppurtunity I can, apart from the winter cos it does get quite cold then.

Most definitely back to Cayo Coco in Cuba, the best chill out holiday we have ever had in our life, beautiful beaches, wonderful ocean, fantastic people those Cubans and they make your holiday so great for you that the stresses and strains of life before you got to Cuba just melt away, I would go back this second, sheer bliss and relaxation.

In south of Thailand there is a very nice and tourist free island called Ko-Lanta. Its beaches are out of this world and on one of them you will find OTTO pub owned by a lovely thai dude who sings chill out songs through the night using his own version of English (mostly gibrish he has no clue what he is saying) but still with the overall atmosphere it somehow works - amaizingly!
