It is a pseudopregnancy..there isn't much you can do..but if her bags get really big, you can apply ice packs for comfort, and then wrap her tummy to support them..Don't use a warm or hot pack, as thiss stimulates milk production..A cool bath is also helpful..
the problem is, that as she has done this once, she is likely to do it twice per year.. she isn't too old to spay..and that will put an end to it..

The same thing happened this summer with my chihuahua. I was like, "what the......" I think it is because we were visiting my cousin's little crying baby. My dog has not really evr been around a baby that I know of. Must have been her motherly instinct to wanna feed it. lol.

A lot of dogs have a false pregnancy. It's normal if your dog isn't fixed.
