i.e. Jesus
Matthew 24:36
"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of the heaven but my Father only."
Matthew 27:46
"And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying,'My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken me?'"
This does not seem like someone who is ready to die for our sins, moreover Jesus(pbuh) clearly, I repeat, clearly calls out to his God, not to himself. Why is that?
Moreover, I would like someone to provide me with an unequivocal statement saying that Jesus(pbuh) is God. I would like one aside from, My Father and I are one, that is too nebulous for me. Such a matter of tremendous importance should not be unclear.

GOD CAN NOT LOOK UPON SIN.
AS THE SINS OF THE WORLD POURED OVER JESUS,GOD HAD TO TURN AWAY,GOD COULD NOT LOOK AT JESUS.GOD COULD NOT LOOK AT SIN.
JESUS KNEW AS SOON AS GOD LOOKED AWAY.JESUS GAVE UP THE GHOST.

Matt 24:36 deals with the day of Jesus' second coming which by arrangement of the Holy Trinity only God the Father knows.
Matt 27:46 These words were cried out by Jesus and recorded in the bible for our benefit to show that Jesus (the sinless one) had really taken on all our sins and his relationship with His Father had been cut off. Before this event Jesus had referred to God as His Father. Here because the Father and son relationship has been severed because of the presence of sin Jesus had to address His Father as 'My God' as any other ordinary person suffering God's judgement for sins.
Mark 1:1'The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God'. The Son has the attribute of His Father. Therefore Jesus is God.
There are many instances in the bible where the followers of Jesus addressed Him as 'Lord' eg Matt 9:28, 51; John 11:21 and 13:36. The word "Lord' with the capital 'L' is God Matt 22:37 'You shall love the Lord,your God ...."
I trust your heart is now at peace. Shalom

first off lets clear someting up Jesus was not god he never really stated that, He said the father was in him, its a common mistake alot of people make. How can he be god if he said he was the son??? The question anwsers itself. Now that being he said also only the father in heaven knows that day. and he kinda revealed it to christ but it is stated in a parable that christ stated, In that day 8 women will cleave to one man. In that day because the love of many shall wax cold, because inquity shall abound. Open your mind and do not think that you are right about anything. Think and questions think and question. Well If you also will note in the bible Christ stated he is not from this place. The whole purpose of christ was to die for something he did not do. For a sin he did not committ. to wash away all your sins. And we sin greatly.

John 14:8-11 (New International Version)

8Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us."

9Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.

Hi abelkhouche. Many people ask why isn't the Bible easier to understand and God tells us why in Matthew 13:13:

"Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand."

Now, I'm not trying to say you're unsaved. Only God knows that. What I'm saying is not everyone is going to be saved. One day you will stand before God and give an account of your life. One sin is enough to send you to Hell. And you will be sent to eternal damnation if you don't have a sin bearer. That one is Jesus Christ.

If you are doubting, try saying the sinners prayer "God have mercy on me, for I am a sinner"

As far as Jesus and God being one there are many verses in the Bible that tell us this truth. in When forcasting the birth of Christ in Isaiah 9:6 God tells us:

"For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

In John 19: 7, God tells us “The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.” Jesus was crucified because he was insisting he was God and He was God.

In Hebrews 1:8 we read, “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever.” We read in Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” So Christ is God. There's no question about that.

In Matthew 3:16-17 when Christ was baptized there was a voice from Heaven saying, “This is my beloved son, hear ye Him.” Yet in John 10:30 Jesus declares "I and My Father are one.” How can He be the Father and the Son? This is something else we don't understand.

So why did Jesus cry out “My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken Me?"

How can God forsake God? We may never know the answer to this question., Our human minds were not created big enough to understand the concept of eternal God who is infinite in His nature and His being. but what we can know is when Christ was forsaken by God, He was under the wrath of God and was paying for the sins of those he came to save. We read at the end of Christ's crucifixtion in (John 19:30)"It is finished"

There are all kinds of people who don't believe in God. They are not reading the Bible, trusting that it is the Word of God. They take a sentence here and a sentence there and isolate it from its context and they say, “You see, from this verse I can tell you that Christ is not God.” That's why we need to compare scripture with scripture. Compare each verse with the rest of the Bible.

well the quote on the cross was from psalm 22 and the Jews woiuld have understood that. Many times Jesus said "I am" the was, thw truth etc and to the Jews the "I am" was God and the pharasies knew he was saying he is God
Psalm 22
For the director of music. To the tune of "The Doe of the Morning." A psalm of David.
1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from the words of my groaning?
2 O my God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,
by night, and am not silent.

3 Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One;
you are the praise of Israel. [a]

4 In you our fathers put their trust;
they trusted and you delivered them.

5 They cried to you and were saved;
in you they trusted and were not disappointed.

6 But I am a worm and not a man,
scorned by men and despised by the people.

7 All who see me mock me;
they hurl insults, shaking their heads:

8 "He trusts in the LORD;
let the LORD rescue him.
Let him deliver him,
since he delights in him."

9 Yet you brought me out of the womb;
you made me trust in you
even at my mother's breast.

Like most of us Jesus' soul was ready to accept death of the Physical body , but his physical body was not ready completely.
Jesus soul was made by the CREATOR OF ALL THINGS from its own body like the rest of ours .before the creation of the physical universe.The Creator made the souls of all that was and will be .So each of us is a facet of the creator and the creator is apart of us.
