A LOT of places should legalize it. I have never smoked/used it, nor do I ever plan to, but the basic science behind it shows that it is a far safer mood-altering substance than alcohol. Marijuana was made illegal by the US gov't only b/c of racism (they associated it with "lazy Mexicans" only after they were done using the Mexicans as cheap labour; when the Depression hit, the gov't wanted to get rid of all the Mexicans---and blacks---and keep the jobs for the whites).

p.s. - no one has EVER died from too much pot. People die every day from alcohol poisoning--esp. young people binge drinking.
If it were legal, like alcohol, gov'ts could tax it, profit from it, and regulate it.

I hope they don't. Pot may not be the worse drug out there but it makes people lazy incoherent. There is so much life out there why would anyone want to be in a high zone and miss so much of it.

I don't see why not all it does is relax you and does'nt put you and others in awkward positions like alcohol tends to do. Alcohol is also far more addictive causing family break-up's and violence to name a few while pot is a drug of dependance being far different from a drug of addiction and does not cause violence and family break-up's, it also has medical benifits in epilepsy and glucoma while alcohol causes heart disease, gout etc. So you tell me because it makes no sense why they dont legalize it.

Yes, because our tax dollars are being spent on putting people in jail over it which is soooo dumb. There are much worse crimes being committed that need more attention than some pot. People DIE everyday from alcohol and cigs, but not pot!!

well personally, I would rather see room in prison for murderers and rapist and the like. some poor bastard that got caught with a roach in his ashtray is not a threat to society
