My wife took an EPT Pregnancy test yesterday, and after waiting 5 minutes for the results, she went back in there and looked. . . . it showed negative. Then a few minutes later, she went back and looked again, and the positive line was just barely visible. Is she pregnant?

If the test says x amount of time is when to look it is only at x amount of time that the reading counts. If you let a test sit longer than the time the directions say to look at the result it is possible that you'll get an incorrect reading. When you say the line was just barely visible it leads me to believe there had just been a change because the thing sat longer than it was supposed to.

Usually, when someone is pregnant there is no question at all about the results when the test was done correctly.

As the test box should say, any result after (X) amount of minutes should be regarded as a false result. It's most likely what's called an evaporation line. Take another test or go have a blood test done. Check www.peeonastick.com for more information regarding pregnancy tests and evap lines.

It lots much less complicated to study while not having to squint at those complicated to study lines.
