I have really long hair too. I have my hair in long layers that way it can still be put in a pony tail and it can still be curled to look good all over. My longest layer starts at about my shoulders. If your hair is thin though you might not want to put many layers in it bc it will make it even thinner. But if its thick then more layers make it not as heavy. Just make sure its cut even at the bottom and not layered into a V because that means there are a lot of layers and you have pretty much cut all of your length off except the very middle hairs at the bottom of your neck. Once you get it cut how you want it you should get it trimmed at least every two months bc it will keep your hair healthy. I only get mine trimmed an inch. Also use good shampoo and conditioner like anything from the Redken line, Matrix line, Silky Sexy Hair. And use a cleansing shampoo once a week like Redken cleansing cream. It helps to not curl your hair often, use a hair dryer on it or put gels in it. I say all this because in order for you to keep your hair healthy and to where it doesnt have to be trimmed a whole lot you have to treat it good. If you cant tell, I really like my hair.

I don't know of a website but thought of a generally good cut. Layers, which I am sure you already considered. Layers that begin a little higher than normal can really jazz up a normally drab and longer head of hair. Try to get a cut with flexibility so you can curl it both in and out, or even tight or loose spirals and still have enough lenth on it so it weighs it down enough and doesn't get crazy.

Keeping it that long really limits you from doing too much, have you tried some long layers and frame it around the face? Think Jennifer Anistons cut but longer. Go to a good recommended stylist or you could get butchered many don't know how to work with extreme length like yours.

Try to keep your hair at a length thats not too "heavy and weighed down" flat is not where its at ! maybe add layers to increase volume , and fun multi-leveled bangs ! Remember to use a light weight shampoo also ! You can still enjoy lots of cool styles with long hair by using fun hair toys too !

Ahh i use to have very long hair down to my hips! I never wanted to get it cut,or even trimmed. But i think trimmed is the way to go..because then your hair looks healthier..i say no more than 2 inches of a trim...

I have long hair too. i would get long layers. thats what i have to give it more life and bounce and its not as heavy, if your hair is straight i would also get it thinned out. long hair is heavy. but if it is wavy or curly stay away from thinning it it will have tons of fly aways and look frizzy.but long layers are cool my hair is curly and my shortest layer is at my shoulders
