Are you the boss or is your dog? That answer determines what kind of food your dog eats. If you are the boss, feed the dog only top quality dog food. If the dog is your boss, then feed the dog what it wants.

Dogs aren't stupid. They will not starve themselves. Also they can manipulate dummer humans.

In my house I am the boss over my dog, always. My dog loves to go for a walk. But he must sit before I will put on its lease. Then he must wait for me to exit the house first, before he may exit. Simple tricks like this reestablish me as his boss.

When my dog wants something, he must first do a simple trick I request of him first. We both enjoy our relationship, because when he is a good dog, then I give him affection.

Chicken and beef (boiled) is fine for dogs, as is rice and some veggies. She really needs to be on kibble though, as that is the only thing that has the nutrients and other things she needs to stay strong. The only reason she doesn't eat the kibble is because she loves the good stuff and KNOWS that you and your family will give in quickly and give her what she wants if she doesn't eat. So find a good brand of kibble and start mixing it in with people food that she likes. Do NOT feed her anything from the table (anything prepared for humans) as spices, salt, pepper, and sugars in quantities are bad for dogs. Only plain boiled rice and beef/chicken, some veggies and fruits are good for her. There is also a diet called the BARF diet and a few others that work around feeding "human" food with or without kibble. Only difference is MOST call for added supplements. So go google it. Talk to your vet about the warts (they aren't necessarily a good sign and could be the result of a not-so-good underlying cause.)

You need to decide what you want to do. If you decide you would rather feed her human food, you need to research what human foods she can have and be healthy. A mix of rice and chicken, with a small serving mixed in of basic vegetables, lightly ground up, provides much the same nutrients as dog food.
If you decide to put her on dog food, make sure you are feeding her a really good brand. Don't switch her around, as dogs' digestive systems don't adjust well to change. In order to get her to accept her dog food readliy, you will have to stop giving her any human food at all for a while. It really isn't good to mix types of food, anyway, as it can cause a nutrient imbalance.
It won't be easy either way, since feeding human food requires planning & cooking for your animal, and switching back to dog food requires patience and dedication. Good luck to you. I know you will do what's best for your dog.

She has probably been spoiled into thinking she can get human food all the time. I would recommend checking out training web sites and books to see ifthere is somethign that can help you retrain her. My advice would be to offer her different types of dog food and different flavors to get her to eat something. Don't give into those puppy eyes and feed her human food. If she refuses to eat the dog food and starves herself then veterinary assistance may be needed to keep her healthy.

Either feed her strickly dog food or human food. You are confusing her. If you wanna feed her scraps, do it only in her food bowl. If she doesnt eat her dog food it is because she isnt hungry and she is only eating the human food to be greedy. This is very typical.
