If you're not comfortable with the religion, then pray and ask the Lord to guide you to the Church that is right for you and where you WILL feel welcome.
Yoga doesn't call up evil spirits of Hinduism. It is an Eastern form of meditation and exercise that does actively encourage you to believe in their religious mindset and God isn't part of that.
I would do yoga, but only the poses and play Christian music while doing that, just to remind myself that God is my maker and creator.
Just an idea, find the Church that is right for you and practice the yoga, but only as I described above. Remember that GOD is your maker and creator and put you here on earth for a reason. He wants you to continue to worship Him

What's wrong with Yoga!?! I like it myself, those stretches are a great way to start the day. I'll talk to the Pope and see if we can't get a Papal Decree out, instructing all Catholics world wide to start participating in this beneficial pursuit. It may keep a few of them away from the all You can eat buffets!!! I'd think twice about joining the Faith though, LOL; we don't understand it ourselves!!

Honestly, to me, all religions are identical. There are beauty variations of direction, however they're the entire equal. A supernatural parental determine or selection of, dictating habits that in order that occurs to coincide with what's well for the clergymen. Not to say a healthful dose of guilt adopted with paying the church a well section of your web valued at.

Who is this "they"; did you talk to a priest? Generally I think yoga is used for exercise and meditation, isn't it?
If you don't like what the priest says, check out your local Episcopal (Anglican) Church. Catholicism without guilt; Catholic Lite; very all inclusive, non-judgmental type of church, but even some of those are more conservative than others. Big churches in cities seem to have their heads on the straightest.

Why do you need to join someone? It looks like you've already thought about spirituality and religion a lot and you already know what you're looking for in a religion. Just do your thing. If it feels right for you it can't be worse than joining a religion you're uncomfortable with.

No need to join any faith....meditate on your heart chakra and try to see the violet point there... there you will see the Truth..it is in us.. a spark of the Divine !!!
(And dont mess with christians.. they got many of my Q & A removed... they have a strategy... they bombard Yahoo with violation notices against non-christians..and Yahoo removes the Qn/Ans without using brain....)

You need a spirituality? That's in your heart where you find that.
Send the Pope a nasty letter. Who knows he might say that he is sorry that you were offended. Maybe.

Perhaps you've misunderstood Spirituality?
We are not supposed to shop around for a spirituality that conforms to our lifestyle. We are supposed to allow true spirituality to slowly conform us to it's ideals, not the other way around.
