The Eastern Orthodox Church is a religious organization which claims to be the continuation of the original Christian body, founded by Jesus and his Twelve Apostles. It is historically linked to the Apostles through unbroken Apostolic Succession, and claims to have preserved the sacred traditions given to the members of the Church through letter and word of mouth. While it is understood that the Church has grown and developed over the centuries, its doctrines have remained the same. Likewise, as its beliefs have been adopted by numerous peoples and nations, its unity has remained. Despite the various labels applied to it, it officially calls itself the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. It currently encompasses national jurisdictions such as the Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox and other Churches . It is sometimes more formally referred to as the Orthodox Catholic Church to emphasize its counter claim to Rome as being the Catholic Church, but is more often known simply as Orthodoxy or the Orthodox Church.

According to the Roman Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church has valid sacraments and orders.

Why do people do this? If you already know the answer , don't ask. We are not your second grade class! And you definitely aren't a teacher, since you can't get grammar correct. Perhaps you are just trying to look smarter than everyone else
