Well I don't feel weighed down by my religion, because I woke up to reality one day and chose not to have one. If I ever did choose to follow a religious ideal again it most certainly would not be any of the religions of christianity, judaism or islam. They are all just far too ugly at their heart, like some psycho was sitting around one day trying to see if he could right the most repressive set of rules ever and then it turned into a contest.
Who do think would win in a fight,George Bush or a ball point pen?

I don't actually feel oppressed by my religion some times the people around me but I think that is true of every one. I feel more freedom when I'm doing whats right. which is funny in a way especially in my religion where so many people are just giving up but I don't think they see the joy or feel hope or some thing.
Oh and I like ball point pens except when they get gooey

Well - my religion (Buddhism) is known for its ability to make you feel spiritually weightless and free from dogma..... so, no.
My thoughts on ball point pens.... blek!
They always run all over your pockets and sometimes they get smudgy on the ends and you end up with "ink chunks" in your otherwise beautiful calligraphy.... use a felt tip with a tight cap instead!

I feel liberated by my faith. (God does ALL of my worrying for me...I just try to do right and he takes care of the rest).
I feel that religion is an impediment to mankind because within it there is opportunity to gain power, and we all know power corrupts. The hardest part of my faith is humility before God. Many men set themselves up to be little Gods...(Charles manson or David koresh, anybody?).
So while I don't feel weighed down by my faith, I DO feel oppressed by my religion. Because like so many good things, small minded and greedy men will ruin it for the rest of us.
Ball point pens...I hate them because of that big, dried up blob of dessicated ink that comes out like a tiny blue turd whenever they sit too long. And when you wash them by mistake you are screwed.

Not any more.
Ball point pens rock, because they are such an improvement on fountain pens and quill pens. The ink flows freely, dries fast to elimination smudging and is self-contained, therefore eliminating the need for inkwells.

No, I don't. I'm quite content with my religion thanks.
And ball point pens are good as long as you are not writing fast.

Yes, I love Jesus, but I sometimes feel obligated to satisfy other members' wishes to shine like Jesus (including mom), to be perfect and never do anything wrong... but then I look down, and I notice that the thing weighing me down is my stomach...
